Week 52 in the Mission Field

20151204_175154

It’s been a busy week! We did lots of service!

It’s a bit cold.. it’s been in the 40-50’s but with the humidity it makes it much colder.

Tuesday, we had our district meeting and we were asked to instruct again then we had a meeting with our bishop.  After that we went over to an investigators house for dinner and answered a ton of their questions. They had lots of them!

Thursday was my year mark!  We did some service in the morning and it went really well! They had lots for us to do then we dropped our laundry off at a member’s house because bro. Fontenot got called into work Wednesday night. We helped an investigator fix up a trailer.  We had dinner with some members and then off to a meeting with the ward mission leader!

Friday, we had Zone training meeting and it was good! We headed over to Fort Polk to help set up a Christmas party and run a bunch of the games there. We met a guy that has a really really close friend thats LDS and he invited us over to have a bbq.

Saturday was busy! We went to a public event in the morning but found out that it didn’t start till 5pm…. we were about 7ish hours early…. but there were a ton of people setting stuff up! Then we went fishing with an investigator and it was fun! He’s a really good guy!

Sunday, we had church and we stayed after to study.  We went to see some people in Rosepine so we didn’t have to drive back to Deridder but literally no one was home… so we worked on a musical number that we are doing for zone conference Tuesday!  We had a ward social before the Christmas Devotional.

Studying is going good! I’ve been reading a lot of talks and devotionals! They are really good! I’m in D&C 30 and in Exodus right now! I’ve been learning about faith and Christ-like love! Also, been studying talks from the 70’s, the 12 and devotionals from BYU.

I love meeting other missionaries and the food! My testimony has grown because i’ve seen how God puts people in your path to help you grow and help others!  Louisiana is good not some where I’d want to live but the food and people are really good.  Can y’all send me some more dairy pills? I’m almost out :/

Can y’all pray for Matthew and his wife, the Mudd family, the Ravera family and Andy.

Love,

Elder Micah A. Ralph
